About the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce
Chamber Committees
- Leadership Laramie - Leadership Laramie
is a program sponsored by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce,
in which potential participants undergo an application and interview
process. Participants dedicate one Saturday each month to the
organization and as well as carry our a final project for the good of the
community. Additionally, participants in Leadership Laramie develop their
own leadership and professional skills while learning more about educational
issues and literacy activities. Graduates of the program are armed with
the essential knowledge and skills to become effective leaders in the community.
- West Laramie Business Association - The
geography of Laramie (with the great Union Pacific Railroad
Tracks, Interstate 80 and the Laramie River all bisecting the
town) is such that there is East Laramie and West Laramie. West
Laramie faces separate issues than the rest of town. Business owners and
residents alike, have joined forces to make their voices heard. They raise
funds, host events, are politically active and work tirelessly to improve
the business climate and quality of life in West Laramie. The Laramie Area
Chamber of Commerce supports this committee and the infrastructural development
of West Laramie for the benefit of the entire community.
- Agri-business Committee - Agriculture
is an essential and fundamental aspect of Laramie’s economy. The
Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce Agri-business Committee
is an effective bridge between the business and agricultural
communities. Among other activities, this committee hosts
the hugely popular Agricultural Appreciation Banquet each October.
- Ambassadors - The Ambassadors Committee
is the face of the Chamber. These Laramie professionals meet and
welcome new businesses to the community and to the Chamber of
Commerce. In addition to Ribbon Cuttings, the Ambassadors contact
new members to remind them and invite them to attend Chamber functions and
take advantage of membership.
